In 2015, we started Cheeky Mint because we wanted to make gifting items that weren’t so… blah. We live in New York City, which has a culture that’s incredibly vibrant, loud and in your face and we wanted to capture that spirit in our products. We were also enamored by brands that used typography with a little bit of whimsy.

The brand’s journey over the last year has been a rollercoaster, in the best way possible. It’s been exhilarating to see products that we designed actually come to life. We love the feeling of being struck by sudden inspiration, which then leads into hours of research and design. As any business owner will tell you, turning an idea into reality is the toughest part, as you search and negotiate with suppliers to ensure that every last detail is in place. For us, the ultimate feeling of accomplishment comes when an idea becomes a real physical product that you can use, enjoy and fall in love with.

And that’s what has driven us to keep going over the last year. We started the line with just a few pillows, pouches and mugs on Etsy. Over the last few months of 2015, several of those items took off, especially around the holiday season. By speaking to our consumers and studying our data, we are slowly discovering our customer’s wants and desires. Most importantly, we’ve paid attention to what our audience finds important as it relates to the brand experience, which includes product research, customer service and shipping/delivery. We know that every little detail matters.

As we continue to grow, we know our customers are our lifeblood. We promise that we’ll always strive to provide a remarkable shopping experience to our customers. We know that gifting can be a stressful endeavor, so please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or would like to place a custom order. We’re not here to be average; we’re here to be awesome.
